How to open and close VELUX sloped roof window in case of power outage or discharged battery
In case of a power outage or discharged battery, you can open or close your VELUX sloped roof window (centre-pivot electric or solar window) using the handle at the top of the window.

Window closed
If the window is completely closed, you can open it by pulling on the ventilation bar (handle) at the top of the window. The ventilation bar has two positions, with the first 'click' allowing for background ventilation, whilst the second click unlocks the window and allows it to open.

Window open manually
You can simply close the window manually, by swinging the sash closed and pushing upwards with the ventilation bar (handle). This will lock the window fully closed.
Window open electrically
If the window has been opened electrically and is now stuck in this position, you will need to disengage the motor chain mechanism before closing the window. This method tucks the motor chain away from the locking mechanism, allowing the window to be locked and secured temporarily until power is restored to the window.
