What is the maximum control range between the gateway and a product?
The VELUX Gateway can communicate with VELUX windows, shutters, blinds, sensors, and departure switches within:
- Up to 20 metres indoors (including through walls and ceilings)
- Up to 200 metres outdoors when there is a clear line of sight
Please note that the actual range may be reduced by your building's construction. Materials such as metal supports, thick walls, or other obstacles can interfere with the signal.
If you need a greater indoor range, you can add a VELUX Interface (KLF), which acts as a signal repeater. This can extend the communication range to up to 40 metres indoors and 400 metres outdoors, depending on the installation environment.
