VELUX Support - Blackout blinds, Translucent roller blinds
Blind does not roll up correctly
Most VELUX blinds use a spring within the blind to ensure a smooth rolling up of the fabric within the cassette. On occasions the spring can lose its tension, and causes the fabric to bunch up during operation. It is not possible to restore the blind tension, and a replacement blind will be required.
If your blind is an electric or solar blind, this should be operated using the wall-switch or remote control. If you are unable to operate your blind with your wall-switch or remote control please contact us. Electric and solar blinds can also be operated manually if needed. To do this, simply tilt the bottom of the control bar inwards towards the glazing (as shown in the below diagram). Holding the bar in this tilted position, you are then able to slide the blind up and down to the desired position.

If your blind is within its manufacturers warranty, please contact VELUX by submitting a service request form using the below link for your country. You can check the guarantee period for your product by clicking here.
