Why am I not informed/warned in the app when rain occurs?

The rain sensor provided with your VELUX roof window (or motor kit) is connected directly to the motor. 

When rain is detected whilst the window is already open, the automatic closure of the window is controlled directly by the rain sensor. No information is immediately provided to the gateway or VELUX ACTIVE app during this time. 

Note: The VELUX ACTIVE app may take up to 15 minutes to indicate rain, after a periodic status update within the app.

When rain is detected whilst the window is closed, the VELUX ACTIVE app will warn of rain when the user tries to open the windows. It is possible to override the rain sensor at this time, and the windows opening will be limited to 50%, and will automatically close after 15 minutes.

Note: If local weather forecasts indicate rain, this is indicated in the app and all automated window control is postponed until dry weather. However, manual control is not affected by forecast data.
