How far does the VELUX window open?

Manual centre-pivot windows will naturally rest in a horizontal position, parallel to the ground when fully open. All centre-pivot roof windows can also rotate almost 180 degrees for easy cleaning of the outer glass surface from the inside. 

Solar and electric centre-pivot windows can open a maximum of 200mm when electrically operated.

Manual top-hung windows can be opened 45 degrees from the pitch of the roof.
