Dealers that sell and promote compatible products are allowed by Google to buy the VELUX trademark as keyword in all search engines to drive traffic to their shops and sites.

Dealers are not allowed to use VELUX keywords to drive traffic to landing pages that only sell or promote non-compatible products.

    The VELUX trademark in adtexts

Dealers that promote and sell both VELUX products and compatible products are allowed to use the VELUX trademark in the Path fields of the "display url" of the ad texts, if the ad texts is sending traffic to landing pages that only display VELUX products. The dealers will not be authorised to use the VELUX trademark in the headline or the description lines of the adtexts.

Dealers that promote and sell both VELUX products and compatible products are not allowed to use the VELUX trademark in the display url of the adtexts to drive traffic to landing pages that display other than original VELUX products.

Dealers that only promote and sell competitor products are not allowed to use the VELUX trademark in the display url at all.

VELUX and Google do not tolerate text manipulation, e.g. “VELUXblinds”, to enable the use of the VELUX trademark in adtexts. The VELUX Group registers any violation and reports to Google.

    VELUX trademark in adtexts

Dealers that promote and sell both VELUX products and competitor products should always communicate the nominal price of the products, e.g. “roof window blinds from £30”.

Dealers of compatible products should never communicate a discount on the compatible product as if it was a discount on the original VELUX product, e.g. “Save xx% on roof window blinds”. The VELUX product cannot be compared to a compatible blind of a competitor brand. A discount can only be communicated as a discount on the product itself.
