VELUX issued a product warning in June 2011 in relation to a minor risk of spontaneous glass breakage in VELUX windows of a specific type, size and age. Glazing that is subject to this product warning will be replaced free of charge regardless of the product being out with the 10 year guarantee period.

In this instance, cold temperature is a known factor in increasing the risk of breakage. Where possible please avoid opening your window if the weather is unusually cold. VELUX apologise for any inconvenience caused and we will endeavor to rectify the problem as soon as possible.
