STORAGE – THE TRADITIONAL PURPOSE OF THE ATTIC SPACE
The renovation project shows that an attic is perfect for quality housing instead of just storage of dusty objects. "Airborne" gives a new meaning when you imagine living in a penthouse like this on top of a building in Vienna. Attic space of old residences has traditionally been used for storage. Very rarely a secret roof-terrace or garden has been realized on top of a building, which of course is a double bonus and positive side-effect by the attic space, but this is again traditionally only made for the few and privileged.
But by adding ventilation and light to a building from the 20th century, remarkable improvement can be done, turning it ready and up to date for the 21st century.
